The Vision Plan
CMU 2010 is Central Michigan University’s current five-year strategic plan extending until June 30, 2010. The plan was created with the input and ongoing support from the Board of Trustees, as well as the university community at large, to serve as the blueprint for CMU’s future. There are 18 key performance indicators that are used to measure our efforts to achieve each priority.
The Vision Statement
“CMU will be a nationally prominent university known for integrity, academic excellence, research and creative activity, and public service.” - Adopted by the Board of Trustees
The Five Institutional Priorities
I. Create an environment that supports teaching and learning as the top priority.
II. Provide educational experiences and programs that enhance diversity and global perspectives.
III. Enhance the infrastructure for research and creative activity.
IV. Provide service for the public good.
V. Strengthen the institution’s culture of integrity.
Vision Funds ($5 Million) continue to be distributed through a competitive process for projects which addressed the CMU 2010 priorities through sound initiatives and measurable outcomes. Furthermore, 18 key performance indicators are used to measure our efforts to achieve each priority.
